What you need to know about coal and the Waukegan Electric Generating Station

The Waukegan Electric Generating Station is a coal-fired power plant located in Illinois that is owned by dirty energy utility Edison International. This plant is responsible for 34 deaths, 54 heart attacks, and 570 asthma attacks as a result of the pollution it spews out.

Edison International took a big step forward in scheduling to shut down the dirty Fisk and Crawford coal plants in Chicago. Now they need to go all the way and shut down the rest of their fleet including the Waukegan plant. Closing this plant will prove that people are more important than polluters.
